Pimples are a nuisance, plain and simple, so it makes senses to try to get rid of them. But pimples are also an indicator of poor general nutrition, leading to sub optimal metabolic health. So quite apart from the issue of looking unsightly or feeling uncomfortable, it pays to take your pimples seriously, and to try to get rid of them for the good of your overall health.
The skin is the largest organ in the body, and like all the other organs it needs nourishment and it needs toxins from the metabolic process of its cells carried away. Unless both of these requirements are met in an adequate way, the skin will not be healthy, and pimples will result.
It is amazing that people do not take the warning that pimples represent, more seriously. A diet loaded with sugar, refined carbohydrates, and transfats or other processed fats, will inevitably lead to metabolic issues. These are not the foods we were designed to eat. Likewise, a diet deficient in fresh fruit, vegetables and salad will also harm our skin – as these are the foods we were designed to eat. In each case, eating an unnatural diet will, not surprisingly, lead to ill health.
Natural, holistic solutions are generally the best ways to maintain and improve our health. Using antibiotic creams or other harsh chemical methods does not give us healthy skin, it just masks the unhealthy processes going on beneath the surface. That is why using a zit popper, rather than chemicals, is the safest and most beneficial way to remove any pimples that manage to erupt despite a healthy diet.
